I used to have acrylic (solar nails) for three years straight, then just got tired of getting them done every two weeks. I have been thinking about starting up again (I have a hard time growing my own nails). Should I start doing solar nails again, or spend my money getting a pedicure every month ?

My nails are really brittle and I get the gel nails that arent as expensive as the solar so I can have my monthly pedicure too. It wouldnt hurt to shop around for a cheaper nail place too or just do the pedicure yourself.

The solar nails are nice, but the pedicure is even better.

It would probably be better for your nails and pocket to just get a manicure every month. From what I remember, acrylic nails ruin your real nails and can be quite costly. I used to have them back in the early 90's and it took a couple of years to get them back to normal. My nails are now very healthy and grow like weeds. You could also ask if the nail specialist has anything to help to strengthen your nails that she could apply or if she could recommend something.

Pedicures. Fake nails will just continue to damage your natural nails. There are things you can do to help your natural nails grow and look healthy, including a regular manicure and making sure you get certain vitamins daily like Biotin.

Get the pedicures. Natural short nails are pretty and easy to maintain yourself.

I'd go for a Pedicure any day. I do that. It relaxes one.
Also, good feet help one to be healthy.
