D o you believe an abused animal is better being mistreated or better off at the pound? Its just a hypothetical question I was thinking about.

I dont think any animal should have to suffer any type of abuse but then again I wouldnt wanting it going to a kill shelter either, I dont think I would mind the animal going to a no kill shelter though.

If either one is being done then you should report the owner to the Humane society, you can do this anonymously by phone or you can do it by e mail but of course then they may know who you are but they DO NOT use your name or any other information.If you want an animal they are usually the most faithful,and at first skid-dish, most of the time that will pass a little. Dogs seem to bounce back much better than cats do in some cases.The best way to handle an abused animal is to let them come to you on their own time don't rush them, it's they who have to gain YOUR trust. No animal should be abused, for any reason! If you know who is abusing these pets, then I would report the owners. I would also recommend the pound, rather than being abused.

My friend got a pet from the pound who had been mistreated. She said it makes the best pet because it is so thankful to be in a loving and caring home.

Better off at the pound. Stop abusing animals and give them up! Even if they are euthanized, they will have had kindness for a little while instead of living in beaten terror their whole lives! I know, callous of me, but true to my thoughts!

all of my pets have come from animal shelters. they are better off at the shelters (preferably a no kill shelter). they deserve a second chance at a wonderful life with good pet owners.
