for the last 6 months or so ive been having bad dreams almost every night. Some of them are so gory they would put any horror flick out there to shame. They are always dark and very bloody or just plain sad..like someone dies that is close to me. My husband wakes me almost every night because im either screaming or crying, sometimes so loud that it wakes my children on the other side of the house. Also my son and I have had almost the same dreams....and it always has some connection with our guest bathroom, someone dying in there or someone trapping us in there. My son even says he hears his name being called from the bathroom. (hes 9 and has been having these things happen since he was 4...the same age my mom said i claimed to have seen "ghosts")Whats going on?? and no smart remarks please....no, we are NOT nuts :)

you and your son have a special connection. when i was young, like 5ish, my mom and my dad were in the basement rec room watching tv, well, my dad was, my mom was asleep on the couch. i was upstairs asleep in my room. my dad looked over and my mom and she had her hand in front of her face wiggling her fingers towards her face. he thought it was really weird and went upstairs to get something to eat and decided to check on me.
i was doing the exact same thing.
my guess would be that either you or your son has the ability (and i'm guessing its your son but you might be able to too) to get into other peoples dreams, and thats why you think you are having the same dreams. this sounds weird, but try getting some small crystals and put them in each corner of your rooms (or maybe just that bathroom) so they are pointed towards the center. crystals are supposed to be cleansing and protective.
other than that, i personally would sleep in the bathroom and see if i got any new info in my sleep.
remember tho, its a dream. its scarey, but you CAN control it if you try. and start keeping a dream journal and advise your son to do the same, see what your getting. write in it as soon as you wake up to remember as much detail as you can. you might also want to take up meditation. weird things can come to you when you're first learning. and some of them are really helpful sometimes.

maybe you are stressed, that gives you nightmares. Just remember there is no such things as ghosts, however the human mind when in stress can play some serious games with your head. I went through a period when I was having nightmares everyday, but then I discovered, that you can control them... when you wake up from a nightmare, remember the nightmare but give it a spin where everything becomes alright, think of that solution for that particular situation and when you go back to sleep, if you are in the same dream you will be ok in dreamland too. My friend told me to do that, and it worked like a charm.
The reason I think your son may be having the same problem, is the mass hysteria theory, that when it happens to one person if the other person believes it, then that second person starts feeling the same thing happen to them. I'd suggest you start the day with him in a brighter way and believe me his mind will adjust

Of course you're not nuts. Your nightmares may be a way of your unconscious mind trying to get your attention about a situation or problem that you have been avoiding.
Nightmares serve an important purpose in showing you what is troubling you from within you deeper levels. Discussing, analyzing, and understanding your nightmares can lead to a solution for some problem, internal conflict or personal difficulty. Think about anything you may be avoiding, take notice of it and confront the problem or situation.
Because both you and your son are having similar dreams there may be a psychic connection between the two of you. If you believe in that stuff, its not uncommon since psychic traits are hereditary.
Check out this site: http://www.dreammoods.com/
They have a lot of explanation for different types of dreams and a forum where you can ask about your specific dream.

I believe that some people are naturally more sensitive to supernatural occurences. Was there an outside occurance that triggered the dreams, You moved or had a fight? Also most crimes are public record, see if you can dig up if anything happened in that bathroom. I'm not sure where to look, but start with your city governments records online. and look up your address in the local papers website for news that may have happened there.

Sounds like demons to me. You have to get your housed cleansed or move. If you can't because of financial reasons, you can cover yourself against nightmares by speaking theses scriptures outloud before you go to sleep and the nightmares should not come that night or every night you speak them aloud. John 14:57, psalms 91:11 and Levitus 26:6. If its not demons mascarading as ghosts, then its a spirit of fear and you need someone to pray for you to releave the fear. Until someone prays for you, again...the scriptures will help.

Hi! just wanted to say i also used to have these bad dreams type thingi but just switching on the light and sleeping was comforting though my dreams kept on for a long time but since back then i was 5 i used to sleep with my mom so that was comforting...but as for u just try sleeping with the lights on and keeping your mind off scary things...whenever something scary comes to your mind shake it off and think of something humorous or pleasant! If this was of any help I am glad and if not m sorry!

This is very interesting, my suggestions is to look up the history of your home or the home next door or across the street. There is something that is not at rest in your are. I use to live behind a grave yard and my bedroom was facing the site. I user to have terrible dreams. I am native american and sometimes many of us forget our culture and things we were acustom to. I suggest you get a dream catcher for your room and tfor your son's room . They capture evil spirits and bad dreams. They are also beautiful. You can find them in many cutural stores in your area. Try a museum.

Take some dry sage and burn it...walking throughout the house. This is said to cleanse homes from disturbed spirits.
Other than that, you two may have watched a couple of horror movies...and it may be associated with something that is bothering you subconsciously in your real life.

Monitor the child about two to three hours prior to a "SET" bedtime & during that time try hard and conciously to assure calmness before sleep.
The child's brain is processing "learned" things and mixing make believe which can cause the outbursts.

though i haven't see a ghost, but i know they exist.. whats your religion anyway? if you're cathlolic, have your house blessed by a priest.
always pray and stay strong to your faith. god would never abandon you.
or this doesn't help you, try to transfer or luckily, build a new house. because you know , as you transfer to a old house, you.ve never know the history of it. there might be someone died there and their souls doesnt go in peace yet.
but again, strongly keep up your faith.
god bless
