I don't think people will ever stop NOT getting along. It is an inborn reaction to be afriad of what we don't understand. When something is 'different' from us we automatically see it as 'wrong' It isn't right or fair but predjudice is unavoidable. When we begin to look within ourselves and what WE need to change to become better people, we will thus become more tolerant and open to new ideas and people.

I wish I could say it had got better, but I think we still have a long way to go.
In the UK racism is getting worse between different white races,
Poles and east Europeans are having some problems as they are coming to the UK in large numbers.
I have seen anti Polish postings on some UK forums, this is all very sad, but I think shows it isn't just a colour thing.
Humanity will never learn.

It will happen when people stop seeing one another as "black" and "white" and start seeing one another as the human beings that we all are. There is only one race, the human race, and the postings of a quite a few people on this site suggest that they see their fellow human beings in this way. To use colour as a defining concept for a person, with all the stereotypes that this entails can only have the negative effect of being divisive and exclusionary. In my humble opinion, it is also illogical. My advice, for what it is worth, would be to choose your language carefully so as not to pander to these social constructs of categorising other human beings on the basis of the amount of melanin in their skin. Peace.

Sorry, the answer is no. MLK had a dream that could have came true. Unfortunately it didn't happen in his life time and it won't in his kids lifetime. The reason is not education although that has helped. The reason is because wheather we are black or white christian muslim american or whatever. The human race thinks that the only way to make yourself look good is to make someone else look bad.

I believe the media has prolonged it. It has been human nature over millennia that a nation, state, tribe, what have you, is the greatest and all others are lesser. Does this equate to racism? I'm sure according to Al Shaprton and Jessie Jackson if it gets them airtime it's racism.

Got to say, I'm tired of all this too!
It will never get better whilst fathers teach their sons the same ignorant crap.
Intergration is the solution. The fact that your friends mix, despite different colours is a positive, despite the negative that may sometimes go with it.

isn't it exciting how a man made type device has damaged our international? human beings of direction said complexion ameliorations, yet lower back in historic previous it wasn't a lot about race that brought about servitude. It become more effective in accordance to monetary classification, no be counted what race you've been. Race become only a fashion to damage team spirit to damage the opportunity of insurrection, and seem at how effficient it become. we are struggling with an identical wrestle that become fought thousands of years in the past. i imagine that individuals could commence to question racist comments and comments instead of letting the slide as if they did not listen them. i do not let human beings say racist issues round me because in the experience that they are so prepared to assert it about different communities, who's to assert that they doesn't say some racial epithet about me even as i'm no longer there? no longer basically that, yet racism has ravaged aspects of the international, and it really is so sparkling. Rwanda. The Holocaust. Triangular commerce direction. Israel-Arab conflict. we are all so a lot more effective similar than we are diverse. it truly is outstanding how we've grow to be so good at hating one yet another for such trivial ameliorations like pores and skin colour or faith. basically because i do not consider what some different person does doesn't advise it truly is incorrect. it might nicely be to me, yet perchance it really is to not them. contained sooner or later i am going to respond to to my Maker, and they are going to answer to theirs. it really is my pastime to look after individuals regardless of their ameliorations and no matter if I agree. I try my suitable to attend to human beings extremely.

Nope! There's too much money in racism on both sides of the fence. Too much power controlled in a few peoples hands.

Here in the US, there's a particular form of racism you don't find other places. That's why more Americans should travel--to broaden their perspective. In South Africa, now that Nelson Mandella has ended apartheid (segregation of blacks from whites), things are rapidly improving--or so I've heard. I'm traveling there in April, so after that I'll have a better perspective.

I think racial predujice has declined over recent years, its religious hatred that is now the problem. People don't think things like because he is black he is going to mug me or that white dude is a football hooligan. They worry about being blown up by a muslim.
