Didn't the French at one time argue that 0° Longitude ran through Paris? So you would have to clear that up as well as the latitude question.

Addendum to the above.

Assuming that you are thinking of the Greenwitch Meridian as Prime, and the equator as the latitude you wish to use, then 483 miles east of the intersection of 0° longitude and latitude would be about 8° east on the equator, in the Atlantic Ocean off the west coast of Africa. This assuming that a mile is a minute.

That would depend upon the latitude.

The prime meridian (longitude = zero degrees) is about 12,000 miles long.
