cramping yes..... spotting no... Cramping is caused from your uterus expanding for your baby, not all women can feel it but a lot can... And it is normal.. The spotting however is not normal at anytime during your pregnanct unless it is the last of your periods right a the beginning (like the first week or two).. but not at 10 weeks... I would be contacting your doctor.. It needs to be addressed soon!!!

I also cramped and spotted a little at the beginning of my first pregnancy. I went to the ER because I was afraid of having a miscarriage. I was 19 at the time and they called it a "threatened abortion". It really upset me when they called it that. Everything turned out really good. I thought about it later, and I had sex the night before and that can also cause a little spotting. I was told to do nothing but rest for a few days, with my feet elevated. I recommend that. Relax!!! Time does fly. Enjoy it while you can!!!!!!!!

I had brown spotting with my last pregnancy at 9 weeks which lasted 24 hours with no cramping. I went to my doctor and he ordered blood tests to check my hcg levels over the next 6 days. They were going down and an ultrasound at 10 weeks confirmed that my baby had died.

I had spotting and cramping at around 12 weeks with my first child, and spotting from around 8 to 10 weeks with my current pregnancy (always around the time I would have had my period). I went to the hospital every time. They checked me out and told me everything was fine. My doctor told me that around 70% of women have some spotting during their pregnancies at one time or another.
Always check with a doctor when you have any cramping or spotting..just to be safe.

It can be normal, but this is also called a "threatened miscarriage" meaning a miscarriage may or may not occur. You do need to report any unexplained bleeding to your doctor and if you start having severe abdominal pain, lightheadedness, or soak more than one pad in an hour go to the ER immediately.

no but some people do that and it normally means you need to be on bed rest. You should consult a doctor if it gets worse.
