I'm not sure if they are real or not but i think it adds a sense of mystery to life and that there is something out there that we don't know of. So if a figment of imagination i can see why!

Yes. My wife and I were out walking in the woods near our house one day when we suddenly came across the most beautiful tree which we had never seen before and which was full of strange lovely white flowers and soft green leaves. We picked a large bunch of these and returned home. Shortly afterwards, my wife's parents called round and marvelled at the flowers and said they would also like to have some so we went into the woods again to pick some more. We returned to the exact spot but the tree was not there and we have never seen it since. Was it a figment of our imagination? No, we HAD the flowers we picked! We've lived in our house for over thirty years and we know the woods like the back of our hand - but we've never found that tree again. Spooky, in a nice sort of way.

I had three and still think they are demons...Ghost are demons, demons can take any form, I do not think a God, being almighty would, let the dead hang around, even if they had unfinished business to attend to. Demons are fallen angels and have the same power as Angels do. They like to inhabit places were a traumatic event took place. This is called a territorial stronghold. Usually called hauntings. "Stronghold" Greek strong's fortress, or prison-fortified place. 2 Cor 10:3-5. Remember the story of the Gergesene Demoniacs in Matt 8:28-34. (Mark 5:1-20, Luke 8:26-39) If you’re not religious, you may want to read it. This territory had a stronghold of demons over it, not to mention one man (Personal stronghold-possession) who had a legion of demons in him. Mark 5:9. Jesus freed the man, and in so doing freed the territory of its stronghold/haunting. When the demons went into the swine, the demons did not like the swine, so they drown the swine, this also killed the pigs that the Pagan worshippers used to sacrifice to their God's and killed that business off as well. Jesus healed the land and killed the Pagan worshipping (they used the pigs to sacrifice for food for their god’s) business for a time. My point is, demons are Ghosts and dead people are not.

Both myself and my grandmother saw an apparition at the same time. It was the definate shape of a person, without a head. This happened at about 11:30 at night and we watched the figure walk down a flight of stairs, accross the room in front of us, and dissapear through a wall. We came to find out that a previous owner had killed his wife (cut her head off, basically), and killed their baby and tossed it down a well that the authorties could never find. Years later, me and my brother found the well, but never went down there to check for bones. most of my realtives living on this farm experienced many different things. It made a believer out of me.

I have had a few. Believe me when I say they are real. A day after my gramdfather died, the telephone speaker came on, the tv shut off and one of the light bulbs busted at the same time. It wasn't a power surge beacause the othe light was still on and the radio kept right on playing. My father and I were in a heated discussion about my grand fathers funeral. I think he was trying to tell us something.

I do not think that it is a figure of imagination. On the first anniversary of my grandmother's death I was home alone. I had just gotten home from work and she used to stay in the room next to mine and there is a linen closet between her room and mine. Well the door opened and closed all by itself. I had my door open and the radio nor tv were on. The door knob has to be turned to open and close the door. It kinda freaked me out but I knew it was her. She passed away in her sleep.

I was visited in my dreams by a elderly man with breathing difficulties, who would come down the stairs from the attic, I never thought much about it (as they were only dreams) until I told my mum, she said that the people who lived at mthe house before we moved in had a grandfather who passed away in his bedroom, which was in the attic, he had severe breathing difficulties in his old age.

Yes, I have experienced many.
My first encounter was when I was sent in the room by my mother and when I was on the bed (laying on my stomach), the door slammed and then the bed levitated. Then, I was throwing back and forth from wall to wall before my sister knocked on the door saying "Sis, let me in", "Open the door". I was screaming the whole time and no-one could hear me. I have 5 brothers and sisters and mum was in lounge room at the time as no-one was game enough to sleep in the rooms.
The door opened slowly and I bolted (ran) out of the room to the lounge room. Mum just looked at me evil and said, "See, f*** up again you little c***"!
My latest experience was when I having my ciggarette before heading to bed when I felt something playing with my hair. I thought it was "Baby" (the one-eyed kitten) playing with my hair as I was sitting on the cain chair.
I turned my head slowly to the right, incase I accidently knocked him off with my hair or he got his nails tangled in my hair.
He wasn't there. I slowly turned to my left side, where I saw my pony-tail getting held up by something. I threw my smoke in the ash-tray and flew (ran) in the room as quick as possible, and told mum the next morning. It didn't surprise her.

some times when they occur, that is the only plausible answer left, and the feeling is eerie, the hairs will go up your spine when you realize that you were close to an actual happening. they are real, and that can be proven. members of the clergy need not comment
