What can we do to help "developing countries" prepare for droughts?
I am doing a project on develpong (or 3rd world) countries. It would really help if i could get some answers . . .

Try googling different development agencies and look at their current projects. For example CIDA is the Canadian International Development Agency, and they work on irrigation, drought solutions, etc all the time. Here is something from them to get you started.

Some areas are ripe for relocation - Sahara Desert is NOT a good place to try and live for goodness' sakes!

However, that is not something that an outsider needs to recommend!

Sooo........

Offering to find and drill wells for water.

Research how to make rain fall out of the clouds (a bit of a magical art I am told)

Build some kind of collection barrels that are clean and safe

Teach the people good irrigation principles where water is not wasted

Teach about animal husbandry so that the water is not wasted.
