I have the task manager window open and I noticed as I work that the cache just keeps building up. Is the only way to empty this (per se) will be by rebooting or just plain turning off the PC??

Also, I am wondering if I can change the numbers on my cache? I seem to average around 400,000 K but it contiunually goes up the longer the PC is on. Thanks.

You can go to the Disk Cleanup program under System Tools and clear out all temporary files. This will wipe your cache clear as if you just rebooted.
