has anybody herd of this program? it is a program used to accecs another computer remotely. I want to beabe use this program with my moms computer so I can help her with her computer problems while I am away at college. Could some one explain to me more about this program to see if it is right for me, and if not sugest a diffrent program. Thanks for your help.

Dame ware will let you do what you want to do... take over your mom's PC from remote location. So you get to move the cursor and type on her PC from yours... you can see what she's doing, type for her, install & remove programs for her. You can probably reboot for her but you'll get cut off.

Last came across it about 4-5 years ago and it was considered a security risk then because it was buggy.

. Built in / addable from Microsoft for free for win2k/winXP Remote Desktop. You can find downloads for some other versions to be clients... but it's really only been in server-side software.
. Web based LogMeIn as mentioned by person above.

I use VNC to do the same job on my father's desktop in another country. But it's a bit temperamental on poor line speeds and hangs up (he has dialup).

windows comes with remote desktop, just research on line to use it

Never heard of DameWare. But LogMeIn will do what you want and it's free. www.logmein.com
