theres thousands of these sites another one is popular mechanics if you actually read it all the info they put out is a joke , there are many other sites that just use personal attacks and dont actually cover basic points that loose change , terrorstorm , america freedom to fascism and many more docu/films do .

these films only point out the blatant facts ,the blatant lies and ask the hundres of questions our governments are not answering and the media is not covering properly or at all.

i wouldnt just except anything im fed , i look at both sides look into claims that are being made and use common sence ITS NOT HARD take the time it will affect all our futures.

any way what do you think of these people that spread dis info and just attack with nothing more than mud slinging tactics???

I think governments are biggest culprits of disinformation. The supply us with such confusing tripe that we have to do the digging ourselves to get anywhere near the truth.

I don't think those TWO quotes are outrageous at all. It is unfortunately the truth. I apologize for those who cannot come up with an actual answer to your question, but instead choose to lodge ad hominem attacks against you or Senator Obama. Yet, another unfortunate truth of the state of the United States - Division amongst all. Coming from a Midwestern state where many large corporations recieving tax benefits from the federal government have closed down their satellite facilities, only to expand in foreign countries, I agree with the quotes. This has definately helped create xenophobic ideaologies amongst the people effected. Nowhere in either of those two quotes, however, does Obama say we should give up. Instead, it could just as easily be inferred that Obama is speaking about the issue of workers being laid off because he wants to help solve the problems with corporate America.

What I feel about those spreading disinformation and what I feel about Snopes et. al. are completely opposite. Snopes and others research articles, conspiracy theories, and myths to try to find the truth. I have been following Snopes for a long time and have every confidence that they perform an admirable and valuable service. Those who spread disinformation by inventing and perpetuating lame conspiracy theories through blogs, webpages, public forums and yes, even our own beloved Yahoo Answers are the real cowards and troublemakers, who for their own personal reasons try to involve the gullible in their fantasies.

Snopes uses FACTS and intellectual argument to disprove the nonsense spouted by conspiracy theorists.

If you did look at facts from both sides as you claim then you would soon realise that these conspiracy theories are exactly the same as snake oil salesmen selling a lie then moving onto the next town before they can get caught.

Thank god for snopes.com and the skeptics dictionary (Skepdic.org) otherwise there would be no one to expose these fairy tales.

Alright, I have stopped laughing and caught my breath long enough to post a response. You are incredibly paranoid, all media has a spin, it is a commodity like Pepsi. Neat;ly packaged for public consumption. I bet if you quoted what you though to be reliable sources we could all debunk them too. I am mostly laughing at the popular mechanics, I don't think reporting on technological advances could be all that ripe with disinformation. As for snopes.com, read the FAQ.. They do back up their report using credible news source however admit that their site is not a news site and is for entertainment.

You make a grossly exaggerated claim without any real examples of the "lies" and say that "There's THOUSANDS of these sites" and expect to have any credibility with us?? What "truth" are we not getting? It seems that if there are THAT many sites, somehow the "truth" should be getting out along with the lies, exaggerations, and conspiracies.

You are right not to accept anything you are fed without doing a little personal exploration, but what makes you think that at least some of us aren't doing the same? It's called "freedom of speech," Buddy. It works both ways. It's up to us to look at the information and make our own decisions, not resort to name-calling of those that we don't happen to agree with.

it is hard to take anyone serious who cites loose change as anything but a poorly produced piece of fiction. Loosechange uses photoshopped pictures, lies and mislabled pictures to create it's little fantasy. If there was any proof why mis-identify pictures and photoshop them?

I love a good conspiracy theory and love the challenge of disproving it, loose change was not a challenge.

Snopes is a great site because they debunk things intellectually.

People believe or disbelieve whatever they want. Facts or no facts make no difference.
