Everyone likes to assign blame for their own shortcomings. The one I like is " I have a crappy boss" instead of I am a crappy employee" Makes it easier to live with oneself.

Because it is a easy attack with almost everyone agreeing. It is the person that goes there everyday to eat because of time restraints, busy schedules and just plain easier (lazier) and convenience .As u know, it is not cheap, its either deep fried or 75/25 hamburger mix. You can grab a sandwich instead, bring your own lunch (embarrassed) There are many options to take. Go to a food establishment and take 30-45 minutes to enjoy your meal. Most people say they do not have the time but lets face it, most people if they did a time study on themselves would see that they have (time) to eat correctly and quit blaming the fast food chains. It is like brushing your teeth. two minutes a day and people say they do not have the time. Walk a little faster, don't read one of the comic stripes, stop bullsh ing with others.

Legally speaking, it is because there is legal precedent and there are lawyers who are willing to take the cases. The precedent is the tobacco industry, and in some regards the fast food industry hides some of its less healthy statistics. That said, I think most people will agree that it is common knowledge that eating fast food is not healthy, especially in this day and age, but as others have said, most people are looking for external excuses for their weight issues. Add the lawyer who sees dollar signs and you have the making of a new trend - anti-fast food litigation. On that note, from what I have heard, the law suits are all failures.

because they don't want to admit that they are the ones who took their behind to the restaurant and got all that greasy food and had it super sized and didn't try to do any type of exercise. I know why I gained every pound I did. and I know what I've done to lose what I've loss so far. and I know that I'm not the size I want to be because I eat things I shouldn't and I don't take the time to exercise as I should. People need to take personal responsibility.

They don't offer the gym while they are eating out. They learn to sit and eat and sit and eat and sit and eat and watch tv.
Tons of calories in fast food. From pop to fried foods to the hamburgers.

I rarely eat fast food, so I can't blame them for making me overweight! It is the fact that I'm such an awesome cook! (grin) Cheers! (P.S. I also exercise a lot so I can eat more of my own cooking...)

they don't have anyone else to blame but them. if they put the blame on themselves, it makes the look "stupid" and don't like that feeling. the fast food has some blame...but not all of it for sure.

So they don't have to blame themselves for being fat and having no willpower to change themselves. It's easier to blame anyone but your own self.

'cause someone was able to win a lawsuit for getting hot coffee spilled on them because the coffee cup did not indicate that the coffee was hot.
