I recieved an email telling me that I had posted an insulting answer, which is a matter of opinion.

Isn't this site 90% opinion?

I love the idea of this site, but I didn't realize the site was called "Answers We Like."

But hold on!!! There are so many illiterate, unthinking, ignorant and insulting answers posted, why bother picking out a few to sensor?

Can we sanitize all of existence and should we be trying?

Personally, I find many of the responses of condescending bible bashers insulting, but I deal with it.

I think people who use the site to cheat on homework are commitiing a greater sin than anyone merely expressing their opinion. Wasn't the internet supposed to be a bastion of free speech?

A place where we could have a free market of ideas? I will read the answers to this question, but then I think my boycott of this site will begin.

After all, that person's response to you was simply their exercising their right within that market. Your posting this question is you exercising your right to respond in that free market.

Even one of my answers was censored for a reason which I thought was really inapplicable in the concerned case. I felt hurt and angry for two days, then I was back here forgetting that isolated instance.

If you're really so indignant and outraged by everything going on, it seems to me you would at least use your real name.
And this site should be considered 100% opinion, not just 90%.

I think you care too much.

First of all - this is a group of people from all walks of life, experiences, vocations, countries, languages and cultures whose only commonality is that we share a modern element: Internet access.

We enjoy this form of communication and sharing of ideas.

If it bothers you - you can always go to a library and study in the more traditional way. Boycott away, I seriously doubt you will stop the millions and millions of users who read and write here.
