I want to say yes, but there is always the "Marty factor" when it comes to the playoffs. L.T. can still put up 125-plus yards in a losing effort.
But I think that the Chargers know that this is probably the best chance that they will have this decade to win a conference championship, and they will make the most of it. If they handle the Patriots, I think they are home free.

There is several factors to this. LT has got he right tools in his team. John Elway was a great quarterback and when Terrell Davis came on the scene it made the team click. Rivers has the tools but in his first year it will be hard but not able to reach. The fact that nobody can only key on LT will be the factor. I think they will get by the Patriots due to LT. The Patriots have Brady but the rookie RB will hurt and Chargers defense will be able to key on Brady more. In the next round I think they have better chance against Colts than Ravens due to defense. So yes he can take them all the way due to the other teams having to key on him and letting the rest of his team have better chance to do their thing.

Yes.
Not only will LT help carry them to the Super Bowl BUT so will their passing game and their strong defense. The Chargers are strong all the way around.

Marty hasn't had much success in the post-season, stretching to his days back in Cleveland, but the only other difference is that this time he has the team to do it: LT, Rivers and lets not forget Merriman, that guy is a beast and he will lead the defense to a win this weekend. Plus, no one can touch LT, he's a machine!!

he seems to be that way, playing almost like an immortal. but if the Pats can slow him down and maybe get a turnnover or 2, then the Chargers will lose

He could if teams did not have the whole season to figure out how to contain him. He will have normal numbers, i.e. 100 +1,2tds, but teams will shut down Phillip Rivers and all his playoff inexperience and LT wont be able to carry the entire team.
