Yes, but will only support PS1 game data - PS2 games take up relatively HUGE amounts of memeory space.

I think they do. I know PS1 data can't be saved to a PS2 memory card. It has to be stored onto a PS1 card, and as PS1 games can be played on a PS2 console, I would think the memory cards for a PS1 should also work. Hope this is helpful.

A ps1 memory card will work on a ps2 console but you can only save ps1 game saves. So if you want to play ps2 games you must buy a ps2 memory card

A PS1 memory card will be read by the PS2 but you can only save PS1 games to it.
You can't save PS1 games on a PS2 memory card, though.

You must use a PS1 mem card to save PS1 games when playing on the PS2. So in that sense, yes it does work. For saving PS2 games, though, go with the PS2 mem card.

No it will not becuase they are in a differnt format,8 MB for the newer PS2 " Sticks " and some odd 5600 KBs for the older " Sticks ".
I have tryed so i know what im talking about :)
I almost forgot to say you can save PS1 games played on your PS2 to a PS1 Stick.

yes but it only works on the ps1 games that you run on ur ps2, it will not save ps2 games on a ps1 memory card and visa versa.

It will work if you are using it to save a PS1 game on your PS2. It won't work if you are wanting to save a PS2 game though.
