Because they have been brainwashed by the media to hate Bush so much that they support anyone who opposed him. If Al-Qaeda wins that means Bush loses, and that is all they want. they are not looking at the big picture or taking the consequences of an Al-Qaeda win into consideration, they just want Bush to lose.

Why don't you just give it a rest. You continue with your tirade against the Liberal ideology, yet you haven't a clue what Liberals stand for. Your distorted view is twisted and invalid.
First of all, what is a Libtard? Is name calling the best you can do? How about stepping up to the pump and posing an intelligent query or comment.
If Liberals truly want terrorists to win, why did the Democratic House past legislation to enforce the 9-11 Commission's recommendations, which are heavily focused on national security? Why didn't the Republicans take charge and pass this bill ages ago?
If you haven't a clue what you're talking about, button it up.

Yes please keep using the phrase "Cut and Run"- that way I know some neocon has his hand up your a-s-s making you talk like a ventriloquist's doll- Those are called "DUMMIES" for a reason.
I also enjoy those who say YEAH lets keep sending troops over- as long as it isnt ME- all these so called Patriots- grab a weapon and stand a post or shut the thell up. I served I have the right to an opinion about this- those who havent served have no right saying others should when theyre too coiwardly to fight for what they believe in. of course, it's very easy to attack others with different opinions in here, but that doesn't make you a patrioit- itr doesn't even make you a good American. It makes you a cowardly hypocrite.
The "War on Terror" is like the "War on Drugs"- Billions of dollars spent, and more people than ever can get any drugs they wish. The "War on Terror" can't be won because you can't win a war against an idea, and it's ludicrous to think you can.
But every 4 years, the Reps trot that "Security" hobbyhorse out. It's like Michael Douglas says in "The American President": "All he can do is make you afraid of it, and tell you who's to blame for it". As far as actually SOLVING any of these issues, Nahh that's a little too much to expect form Osama Bin Bush. All Bush has done in 6 years is make you afraid. Afraid of terrorists, afraid of your ever more intrusive gonvernment, afraid to go out outside for fear there will be a gas attack or nuclear missiles in the air or whatever the 'fear du jour' is.

How has our country come to this? Someone once gave me a wonderful quote (if anyone knows who said it please let me know) it goes "there is no 'them.' They are simply a reflection of ourselves." This "us versus them" mentality does nothing to help our country, or the world. Please, if you have an argument in support of the President, the war, or whatever, feel free to give it. But to call a whole group of people "libtards" and say that these people want to see terrorists kill thousands of people just so they can blame Bush is only an excuse for dismissing a huge number of people. I am one of the 73% of people in the US who disapproves of President Bush's actions in Iraq. That does not mean that I want terrorists to rule the world. And I am not interested in blaming everyone who is responsible for this horrible situation. I simply believe that the actions this government have taken have not improved the situation and have in fact made it worse. I am ready to try something different, so yes I do oppose the President and the war, but I support diplomacy, involving Syria and Iran like the Iraq Study Group suggested, building up the Iraqi economy, perhaps dividing the country into three independent parts, etc. I don't want to see any more people killed. If that makes me a "libtard" in your book, than so be it. If you do support Bush's policies in Iraq and want to explain your arguments, please do so. I promise that I will not call you names or imply that you like to see innocent children killed.

Why do neo-cons insist on denying the CIA and FBI (as well as 12 other governmental agencies) reports finding that there are no WMD's in Iraq, NO Saddam-Ossama connection, and that the Taliban and Al-Qaeda fled to PAKISTAN from AFGHANISTAN (not Iraq) at the beginning of this war? Are Al-Qaeda factions assisting the insurgents in Iraq? OF COURSE! They'd be assisting ANY insurgency in ANY mid-eastern country WE attacked...this is hardly a reason to single out Iraq.
NONE of us liberals want Al-Qaeda to win, and cannot understand your insistence on attacking Iraq as the solution. Every so-called "reason" Bush has given has been PROVED false, yet you still cling to the lies as if they were facts. It's clear we need to finish what we started there, but the TRUE reasons WHY we are in Iraq to begin with still remain VERY unclear.
The same goes for the changes Bush has made in our Constitution that severly diminish our civil rights and freedoms, with the EXCUSE that he is fighting terrorism. Since when are the AMERICAN PEOPLE the terrorists that need to be spied on, or denied rights? This is THE biggest lie he's told yet, and world history PROVES that. He has raped the Constitution he SWORE to protect, broken over 100 of our laws in the way he waged this war, spies on OUR citizens, and mis-uses our military for his personal business (oil) gain. All Clinton did was cheat on his wife, which affects US not at all, yet you screwed him to the wall. Here Bush all but trashes our Constitution, ignores our laws, and abuses our military, and you defend him. It's clear your loyalty is to HIM, and not your country.
The better question would be why you folks keep insisting on spreading these ridiculous lies about us libs, why you believe the lies you're telling, and why you continue to spread Bush's lies as if they were reality? Have you LOST TOUCH with reality?

how much longer do we have to hear this conservative propaganda? it gets a little old. you just pull stuff out of your butt and start a discussion. first of all, i agree that you have iraq and al-qaeda confused. we arent fighting al-qaeda in iraq. ive never heard a democrat say to stop fighting al-qaeda...they want to stop fighting iraq which has nothing to do with terrorism. its funny people keep saying liberals want terrorists to win when they passed a bill yesterday increasing our security against terrorism from recommendations in the 9-11 commission. these were recommendations that the conservatives ignored. so shut up already.

Any question with pejorative terms as "libtards" or "repugnantcans" does not require an answer. The poster is close-minded and does not WANT an answer.
Grow up!
I am tired of people blaming everything on Pres. Bush almost as much as I am tired of you zealots on both ends of the political spectrum.

Theres an old adage, " Don't bite off more than you can chew"...If so you may end up choking on it, It seems Mr Bush did just that, and now he's looking to the next President for the Heimlich maneuver (Iraq is not "winnable" by either side)

Because it is Bush's actions that are allowing Al-Qaeda to win. The Pentagon has even admitted that the Iraq war has made them stronger.

Because the whole view (pretty much by definition) is not well thought out. It forgets that everyone in the world is not good, and takes no burden for keeping people safe. And, yes, of course they hate Bush.
