Go with your gut and inner feelings. You gotta be yourself and do things that are right for you. Are you possibly confused with who you are or who you want to be?? Make a list of all the positive qualities you admire, and a list of all negative things that you would like to shy away from. Try to live by your list.

Look friend....Do not just go in pray. Really. If you want to figure out what is right and wrong, you must put values on yourself. Make a list or write a page about yourself in order to discover what you fear, or what you love to do.
If you want to improve this prospect, it would be best to try and make some daring decisions. Some will be right, some will be wrong. Depending on the outcome, you then decide which decisions you want to stay with, and which ones you did not like the outcome of. That is how you improve your decisions.

I would suggest a simple test to solve this question. Whatever you are considering, especially if it is some action, ask yourself two question:

1 - Is it something that I would like to hide from others?
2 - Is it something that will cause harm to others?

If the answer is 'yes' in both cases, it is definitely wrong. Similarly, it is definitely right if the answer to both the questions is 'no'. What if one answer is 'yes' and the other is 'no'? Well...logic can take you only so far! Beyond this, you have to trust your feelings...

It's not really that difficult to choose right from wrong. When you do something wrong trust me you will learn by that mistake.

I think if you ask yourself what will matter to me 5 years from now or in my future....this should help you make right and wrong choices. We all make mistakes and that is part of life. As long as you learn from your mistakes then you are improving your life.

NO BODY ever did the job of distinguishing the RIGHT and WRONG in an acceptable global conscience! Yes, one man’s judgement and the parameter of ‘RIGHT’ always seems WRONG for another one. For example, killing is WRONG one for a common man and it is RIGHT for a military soldier at war front. And for the common man society gives punishment to it and for the soldier government gives National reward!

What one religion accepts as a normal RIGHT or moral one, has not been accepted by another religion. I do not want to go in to it in details, you yourself can dig in to it!
And as for as the nations concerned, smaller nations, whatever they do would be WRONG and it would be questioned by the bigger nations, and in turn the bigger nations need not fulfill the same expectations any way!
Bigger nations silently can do all sort of advance research and developments in atomic energy field, space research, satellite & missile technology, military war-fares etc, but not the growing nations that is WRONG!

So, what is RIGHT for one and one’s nation seems to be WRONG for another one/one’s nation, am I correct?
Even, in the trivial matter like street fighting, we naturally support for the boy of our street, and not the other boy, though he is RIGHT/ correct. And, between men and women in family fights mostly men supports men and women the women!!

SO, UNLESS THE FUNCTIONS OF OUR OWN MIND AND ITS DUAL NATURE IS KNOWN, WE WOULD BE FOREVER TRAPPED IN RIGHTS AND WRONGS.

But, I can say you a simple trick, to know which one is RIGHT/correct and which one is bad/WRONG! That is, where ever you are, if you follow the rule of “SELFISHNESS” for the sake of YOUR PEOPLE/ YOUR FAMILY/ YOUR SOCIETY/ YOUR NATIONS etc, YOU ARE 'RIGHT' AND YOU WILL BE PRAISED AND REWARDED HIGHLY IN TO THE GROUP WHERE YOU BELONGED! And within that group whatever you do for the welfare of your people and AGAINST THE WELFARE OF OTHER PEOPLE you would be considered as a Martyr by your masses!!

OTHER THAN THAT, IF YOU ASK ME WHETHER THERE IS ONE SUCH GLOBALLY ACCEPTED CLEAR-CUT “RIGHT” & “WRONGS” PHENOMENON, I CANNOT SAY ANY SUCH PHYSICAL EVER LASTING CONSTANT OR EMPIRICAL TRUTH EVER!

It is very simple. What makes your inner-self feels good; what makes others around feel proud of you or what the majority of the society accepts, are usually right. Otherwise, most cases are wrong.

Assuming your question is concerning maturing into an adult.

Don't reject the positive things instilled in you by your parents, family, teachers.... know none of them were perfect.

Spiritual growth

Acknowledging lessons learned by personal mistake also in those around you.
