Because he is a MAN! They don't care how hard you work to make a nice home for them, unless you don't and the house is a pig sty. That, they notice! Just be happy he comes home and desires you, it's about all they are capable of, poor creatures:)

Some husbands dont do house work. How long have you been married? I have my children helping me and my spouse doesn't do much around the house. I alway ask him to fix something - unscrew something etc to make him feel "needed" and ensure I thank him for it. Housework is not a thank you chore. Yes it would be nice it they helped - it should have been a group effort at the beginning of the relationship then it could continue

He tries to make you feel guilty so you work harder and he has to do less. He likes that you fall for this and put out to please him. He has the perfect little lady that treats her man like a king. I hope you don't fall for this crap anymore. My husband used to do this. I finally just told him he was full of it, and I do plenty, and he needs to stop complaining. I started leaving some of the housework and going and doing my own thing sometimes instead of worrying about it. He finally got the point and respects me a lot more now. Our marriage is better for it. He's actually more attracted to me. You can't ask people to respect you. Whining/complaining about a lack of respect and begging for respect only begets more disrespect. It's like asking for permission to be a stronger person from someone who doesn't want you to be and like his/her power they have over you. It just acknowledges their power, which will only reenforce their actions that give them control. A truly stronger person would make someone see they deserve respect instead of asking someone to respect them. You can't ask for it, you have to take it.

he's using you for sex and as a maid service to clean up after him. My ex was the same way. We are seperated and I couldn't be happier. Good luck.

Because that's the only time you aren't complaining about something.

you need to talk to him and tell him your needs as your get older in your marriage thing change and you need to keep up with the change that you like and what he likes so talk to him and tell him that you need to hear those word more and i bet he tell it to you more.
