don't panic. you'll not be smoking a pipe anytime soon. you've learned what i've been trying to teach my kids for years. music appreciation. i've always thought one should appreciate a piece of music for what it is not hate it for what it isn't. i love classical music but i love blues too and i'm a die hard rock and roller at heart.i still wear my jeans, crank the radio, almost to the point of blowing the speakers,and drink beer. think of it- all that from someone who listens to mozart.

Brown slippers and beige slacks don't come into it. If, like
me you were trained to be a professional musician, studied
harmony, composition, instrumentation,counterpoint and musical structure together with appreciation of all types of MELODIC
music, you would go through life gaining tremendous enjoyment
from listening and even composing 'music' as opposed to
the oceans of 'drug induced garbage' which today passes for 'music' and which is composed and played merely for monetary gain. The criteria seems to be - he who earns the
most must be the best - musical talent doesen't come into it
and lack of musical talent is often replaced by an increase in
volume.

No its just a sign that you are more relaxed, happier and in tune with yourself that's all, leave the slippers, slacks and Radio 2 on the back burner for now.

I love classical music and I'm 20 years old. I hate a lot of this modern stuff, but not all of it. I like Avril Lavine.

57 years old.In my car at the moment i am listing to Back in Black by Ac/Dc,also Ferry Corstens greatest hits,Pink Floyd Live(my own compilation)am i ready to be put out to pasture as well?Do i need to start taking the pills?
