I would think it's just that your musical tastes are broadening. There are many people who are equally keen on Mozart etc as they are on rock!

Hopefully not older but wiser. You start to appreciate talent and technical excellence. That comes with being bored with the same old thing over and over again, with no talent. You want to be able to appreciate finer things in life and want to see something different. I like classical music, I always liked it, but then again, I went to music school for a long time from a very young age.

Well, I'd say it's more like you're actually becoming more open to different types of music.
As for radio 2 - have you heard it lately? Jonathan Ross has played the music you like I'm sure he has on his Saturday morning show
You'll now when it's time to get the brown slippers

I say why not be eclectic in your music taste! I love all kinds of music from classical to hed kandi, hip hop and classic rock! Music is the soundtrack of our lives, therefore embrace all sorts of music I reckon.

It's just a sign that you are diversifying! Our CD collection has everything from rockabilly to funk to jazz to sacred choral music, with pretty much everything in between....(that's what happens when punk double bassist moves in with classical choral singer...)

By the way, which piece of "Light classical music"?
