I had 40 clinical weeks, but those were at the end of the semester when the book learning for the term was over and done with (so I wasn't sitting in a class room all day, then spending eight hours on the clinical floor). Also, let me put it to you this way. You are struggling with money now, and it will be a struggle while getting through nursing school, but will it get better unless you get an education? Try looking into scholarships and loans that could help with both tuition and living expenses. Also, what kind of nursing program are you looking into? ADN? BSN? RN-diploma? LPN/LVN? I would strongly recommend becoming an LPN first if you are hurting for money. LPN programs are 12-18 months all said and done where as ADN programs are 2 years, diploma 3 years, and BSN 4 years, all without pre reqs. Best of luck.

£7.33 per hour. There are 52 weeks/year, 40 hrs/wk. So you divide the amount by 2080 to find the hourly rate.
