Nope not at all. How about helping out our fellow Americans in need? Oh wait, then those old greedy politicians can't get richer off the blood of our children(soldiers).

The invasion was legal and moral. Saddam broke the conditions of the armistice; that was the only reason necessary to take him out.
"The Pentagon's New Map" by Thomas P.M. Barnett details most of the strategy that the Administration has been using since 9/11. The goal is to eliminate the breeding ground for terrorists in the Middle East and Africa by creating mutual economic inter-dependencies and democratic governments. The book should be read and understood by anyone who wishes to discuss this subject. Reciting socialist or jihadist propaganda is hardly going to improve the situation over there.

And yes, the whole situation sucks. And it has for many centuries.

You can't put a price on success in Iraq. A stable economy and democracy in the Middle East would benefit everyone, and possibly quell the fundamentalism that is spreading across the region.
You know, if we don't do what we are there to do, that craziness will all eventually come here.
Yes, I support the president's plan.

A stable Iraq is in the interest of USA. After withdrawal of Russian troops from Afghanistan, no attention was pad to disarm various groups. Poor refugee were allowed to suffer. This policy cost USA heavily and even America was attacked. President Bush is serious in his efforts to end terrorism. We may not agree with his approach, but he is not totally wrong.

Hey remember its all about oil. I mean the attacks on this country didn't have any finacial impacts at all. The DOW just lost 2000 point. People were afraid and not spending money, this led to unemployment( a million jobs lost), recession...
No No No this isn't about trying to establish stability that will reduce our risk of this country being harmed.
It's obviously all about oil.

If we don't accomplish what we have spent in money and lives for, in 5 to 10 years, you will wish we had spent more and finished it.
Yes, I support the plan for additional troops.

Is freedom and democracy worth all that? Yes.
Is ending international terrorism worth all that? Yes.
It's a high price, both in money and in blood, but it's worthwhile.
Do you have a better idea how to end international terrorism?

Since the US destroyed the stability of the country with our illegal immoral invasion, we must stabilize and rebuild what we wrecked.
