Either. Both work. Because most Americans will not automatically know the difference (this is fair enough; because from a distance there's not a hell of a lot of difference) unless you tell them and Scots and Irish have got one major thing in common. The rest of the world loves us all. I went to New York a few years ago and it wasn't easy to spend money in a bar; not just because I was Scottish, which was good anyway, but to be in the Navy and fighting the same people as America were... that was priceless. Thing is though; which Scottish or Irish accent do you have? Because I know Ireland's a bit like Scotland in one major dialect regard; you can go five minutes down the road and whilst you can't tell the difference, a native will know without doubt that, for example, Fred there's from Inverness but Bob's from Dingwall. These places are ten miles apart, they're the two nearest towns to where I grew up, and I can't tell the difference. If you're Scottish accent hails from Glasgow; go Irish. Unless your Irish accent is Northern Irish (specifically Belfast) then go with Scottish. Ultimately though, it will make very little difference.

As an American, and for the most part, hearing accents like mine all the time, I am intrigued by and love different accents. Some British accents, Italian, Scottish, Irish, African and Spanish one are particularly pleasant and soothing to these western ears.
