A script is the dialogue and instructions for a performance of work. A screenplay is another name for a script...specifically referred to in movies. Direction is what the actors follow in the script that tells them how their character should behave during a given scene.

Depends on how creative you get with it. A person who has talent can write the script/screenplay and direct it like theres no tommorow. There is no difference if the story can all come together!

Screenplay is the author's version of the film.
Script is either the screenplay OR the shooting version of the film.
Direction is instructions on the specific way to shoot or perform a scene.
