No surprising underdog will "win it all" (it will be a traditional power), but there are a few set up to dethrone traditional champions:
Jaguars - Colts seem to be on decline
Cardinals - If they get a good coach and O-Line, they can do it
49ers - They are already really close to getting the Hawks
Jets - OK, they made the playoffs, but passing the Patriots would be an accomplishment
Of these, the Jaguars probably have the best shot at the playoffs, and the 49ers have the best at winning their division. The Jaguars have the best shot at winning the Super Bowl if they get hot at the right time.

Being a New England Patriots fan, I am very pleased at their prospectus for 2007. No team in football manages the salary cap better than New England. Add one more WR, keep Chad Jackson & Rodney Harrison healthy, re- sign Assante Samuel (if possible) and get 1-2 more players for the often injured secondary. There is no reason to believe that the Patriots will not be in the mix, if not the Super Bowl, again. One player that I'd love to see them acquire is Roy Williams, but I know that Detroit will want the farm for him, but the Patriots have two first round picks to play with in the April draft.

Cincinnati Bengals - I know they're not a huge underdog, because they've been getting better over the last few years, but they haven't won anything significant in forever, so I still think they have to be considered an underdog. They had a really disappointing year this year given the expectations, but I see them coming back next year and possibly winning the whole thing.

no huge underdog will win it next year (especially the Lions...to the first guy)
there are a couple teams that have the same (great) pieces they have this year, coming back for next year
if there's any surprise, it'll be the Jets...if they get a QB and a couple other half decent contributers

If the raiders draft right and get a good QB but more importantly a line I think the offense will be better because whoever the QB is he can stand in the pocket and that defense will only get better

Clearly the Jags: Young team, Great coaches of old and new, Best D in the league, Returning healthy offense for next year hopefully and only weakness being the passing game.

I like what San Francisco did this year. I thought they played tough and improved all year. Alex Smith will be in his third year, and the defense looked pretty good.
I'm not a 49ers fan - I'm a Browns fan. So this is not a "homer" pick.

no way the cards can do it...people just look at their skill positions and assume they should be good. truth is, they have a lot of weak areas and need a lot of improvement...they're about 3 years from a real SB run
The steelers will bounce back next year and win the SB...give 'em a mulligan on this season

Assuming a preseason dog takes it? The best positioned team is the Cardinals. But they need to make the right decision with their head coach.
