To have multiple documents open (microsoft word, for example, uses a MDI Parent form as it's main form, and uses a regular form, set with it's MDI Child property to True as Document forms), you can show the system clipboard on a form, and you can use forms as custom dialog boxes, such as a log in dialog.

Most programs use more than one form. Just have a look on your computer at what programs you've got - I'm sure you will have more than 3 that use multiple forms!
