Who decides the day on which the week begins calendar-wise. Is there some sort of Masonic conspiracy going on? I wanna know.

Calenders start on January first, regardless of the day. This year Jan. 1 was on a Monday. Some groups are trying to standardize the calender so that all the days of the year are on the same days. This will never happen because all governments would have to agree and the calender companies would argue hat they would be put out of business.

Since most people do one thing on Monday to Friday (work) and another on Saturday and Sunday (leisure) it makes sense to break the week up in this way, with Monday at the start.

Sunday is part of the weekend, so it doesn't make any sense to start the week on a Sunday.
