for example, you look like a guy in backstreet boys...does this mean you look like a specific guy (nick,aj,,,or maybe brian)? or you look like you can be a backstreetboy

To me, it means that you appear as if you are a non specific person from a group, but not necessarily an exact person. You kind of have to understand the context the person asking the question is meaning to really know.

unless the person were to say you look like a specific person from the backstreet boys, like: "you look like nick from the backstreet boys", then i would think they just meant that you look like someone who they think could be in the backstreet boys.
