There are a ton of anima characters that would fit into that category. Take InuYasha for example. The lead character in it is named Inuyash and is a half demon. He fights for the side of good though. All he wears is a red kimono with a white under kimono, some beads and has white hair. He carries a sword as well. You could make that costume easily if you can sew and do simple crafts because there are tons of pictures of him on the net. Just yahoo it then go to the images section. You most likely could buy everything as well if you are so inclined. The reason I mention this is because little boys love costumes that have swords and stuff like that. At least I did when I was small. You could also dress him up as that white ninja from G.I. Joe. His name is Storm Shadow. That would be a very easy costume. Ask him what cartoons he is into and go from their. Shouldn't have to much of a problem. What ever you do, spend some time to make your child feel good about his costume. For a child this is a really fun and important time. I looked forward to this, as much as christmas when I was younger cause my mom always made us any costume we wanted. She was really good with sewing and crafts. Nothing makes a kid feel worse than when parents throw together something last minute that looks like crap . I can't wait to help my kids someday, with their costumes.

Well Prince Charming comes to mind from Cinderella and Snow White, a bit complicated but they do have patterns at the store. Robin Hood or Little John.. easy costumes you can make from thrift store items even the hat and bow and arrow I think you can find on ebay or a costume shop. The Shoemaker from the Shoemaker and the Elves. Pinnochio but I don't know if a 4 year old would like a long nose on his face for the party :)

Hansel (from Hansel and Gretel)
Prince Charming (LOL, I love that name) from Sleeping Beauty and others
The Beast (presumably male, although it's never said) from Beauty and the Beast.
