No there is no risk unless you cut yourself with the razor. It helps smell cleaner there is no hair to absorb odour.

The main risk of shaving your armpits is that people will assume you're gay - which is fine if you actually are.
Shaving pubic hair, however, is another story and is very hard on the skin, which is sensitive in that area. It also interferes with the evaporation of sweat, so with no hair there, it is actually much less hygienic. In fact, although you won't notice it yourself, other people have probably started to notice that you STINK down there when you shave. and it can also make ideal conditions for bacterial or fungal infections.
It's not a risk, but every time you shave or wax it's time consuming and/or expensive. Don't you have better uses for your time and money - I do! And many women think it looks freaky. Most women don't want to be with a man who looks like he's ten years old.

If you'd stop and think about it..what would the health risks possibly be? Is there a health risk shaving your face? Is there a health risk cutting your hair on your head? Cutting the scrotum hurts like he**! yeah with an electric clippers.....and bleeds...so don't use that...happened to me twice....so I guess thats a risk...but otherwise shave away, more and more guys seem to be doing it. The armpits you could catch some grief for though because its very visible. People will ask you why the heck you do that and I'd be curious to know why myself...I can see trimming but not shaving totally.
Oh yeah, and the itching is horrible!

Okay. I am reading all of these answers.. Most of them are younger, and have no need to shave yet. But most of the older population, or the younger population who are sexually active DO shave. Its much more cleanly to do so. Also, imagine HOW embarrassing it would be to get undressed in front of your boyfriend or girlfriend and you have a bunch of hair and they have none. Personally I shave every single night.. I DONT shave my armpits though. About 99% of the people I know do shave their pubic area. And I know a lot of people.

No health problems per se, but be careful of cutting your scrotum, it will bleed like crazy...you may want to investigate having someone wax your crotch instead of shaving it.
