if both are on..will I get more annoying prompts? Please answer as I am not sure what to do. Thanks.

I have been using Zone Alarm too. It's one of the best firewalls around. As far as I'm concerned Windows firewall recognises Zone Alarm firewall and automatically turns itself off. At least, that's the case with me. Give it a look. I'm not sure both can be turned on or not but usually if two firewalls, antiviruses, or antispywares are on at the same time; I read somewhere that they do cause some problems like system failure or system crash. I suggest u stick with Zone Alarm instead of windows firewall. Good Luck.

it's not that good to run both firewalls. just run one of them, if both are running, they usually conflict. i suggest you stay with windows firewall. It's a good tool, and most important, easy to use. Just uninstall Zone Alarm. If on the other hand you want to use ZA, disable the windows firewall. Just remember the essential: don't use 2 firewalls at the same time.

running 2 firewalls will cause conflict
i would turn off the windows firewall and use zonelarm
you'll be better protected

You don't need both. The choice is up to you. Run one or the other. I don't have any personal experience with zone alarm, so I can't say one way or the other whether it's the best.

Zone alarm is one of the famous firewall products, please off your Windows firewall to prevent their conflicts. I also use Zone alarm and don't worry about it.
