Relax. Totally normal. The medical profession finally got the news that pregnant women need proper nutrition. They put an excess of a few "B" vitamins in the pre-natal formula. These are water soluble, so no danger of getting too much, for your body can eliminate them ( which is why it is bright yellow). Good food, like nutritional yeast, and juiced vegetables, would be even better, but it is doubtful the medical community will have that breakthrough.

To be honest, bright urine is better than dark urine. (Though still not as good as clear urine.) Dark urine means dehydration. Have you taken any medicines for vaginal infection lately? I know that the pill that I took for bacterial vaginosis made my urine highlighter yellow. There are certain chemicals that they put in these pills that may cause this side effect. It's even possible that something in the vitamin did it. You'd be suprised at how quick they move through your system! If you haven't, then I would go go your doctor and make sure it's not a UTI or something of that nature. So far I've gotten a UTI each time I became pregnant, both times at about 5 or so weeks. Good luck and congrats!

It means you're doing a great job taking your prenatal vitamins.
The bright yellow is caused by one of the B vitamins in the prenatal vitamins coming out in your urine. I think it's B12 but I am not positive.
It happens when you're taking vitamins even when you're not pregnant. My daughter always tries to hold her morning pee until she's taken her vitamin so she can see how bright her pee is that day (she's 4).

its from your vitamins, your body takes and uses everything it needs from the vitamins . . . and it flushes the rest out, and that is what is causing the colour change to you urine. Dont worry its totally normal.

The same thing is happening to me. On my prenatal vitamin prescription there is a label that warns the vitamin will do that.

This is very common when taking a multivitamin. It is caused by water soluble B vitamins passing through your system.

It's just your body's way of excreting the excess from the vitamin you are taking. No worries- it's normal. It happened to me too.

Anything in your prenatal that your body does not need will be flushed out through your urine. That could be why its so bright.
