Generally fruits are acidic and vegetables are alkaline. You can take this one step further by asking what are acid forming foods. Legums, beans, chickpeas, lentils, catsup, mustard, olives, coffee, cocoa, alcohol, milk, meat, oatmeal, pasta, eggs, fish, plums, prunes, cranberries, flour products, noodles, organ meats, asparagus, brussels sprouts.
