Since graduating university two years ago, I find myself lacking a sense of meaning in the world. Up until this point, life had been planned out for me (school) so I didnt really have to worry about it. It's time for change I guess. I now have a really great job so I can't complain there. It's kind of an awkward transition because I still feel like partying in order to be part of something. I find that really isn't working anymore and that most of my friends are now gone. I'm looking for ways to feel a little bit more passionate about my day, find meaning, and meeting new people. I have a magnetic personality, but I need to know what I can get involved in. Sometimes its hard to figure out interests. Such a strange time in life, the transition from school to the real world! I'm not ready to settle down! I want to enrich my life and find passion. What do you suggest?

90% of the transition sickness is in the nature of the change in schedule. As you manage your time, build your homelife, establish or strengthen relationship bonds, and measure your self-worth, look for activities and hobbies which expand your horizons.

1. Whatever your profession, you have skills that need to be enhanced and nurtured. Look to continue your education either through continuing education classes in your field or through seminars and workshops. These help to cement a connection with your education life and professional life which make you a life long student and insure a gentle transition from the education world you just left.

2. Attempt to integrate into community organizations. The difference between a child and an adult is that an adult takes responsibility for the problems around them, and attempts to solve those problems. A Child asks for permission to do something about those problems or asks someone else to take care of those problems. As a new or fully functioning adult, don't fall back on childish attitudes. Look around you, identify problems, and pursue a sane course of action which makes life easier for you and people around you. When you ask for help, make certain you're asking because it's something you can't or shouldn't do alone.

3. Look forward to the next day. Plan and attempt to build up for the next day. Live in the moment, but plan for the future. Set goals and establish a reasonable expectation for both a positive future and how you will overcome life's obstacles.

Good Luck.

Let me proportion anything with you. I used to consider to myself.... while I have this something or while I'm competent to try this or that my lifestyles shall be ideal and I'll real be comfortable. But lifestyles is not like that. You can succeed in all of the ones objectives or obtain all of the ones matters and nonetheless now not be convinced. The excellent moments in lifestyles have come from the functional little daily stuff....a pal inviting me out to lunch or doing a web page in my artwork magazine and the pride that incorporates it. Life is brief. We can discover pleasure within the functional matters if we are simply open to it. P.S. I used to believe the identical approach you do approximately others whose lives appeared extra 'on monitor' than mine. If you dig slightly deeper you're going to become aware of matters are not regularly what they appear. Some of the men and women that I envied essentially the most and inspiration had close ideal lives grew to become out to be very unsatisfied men and women.

Travel as much as you can, with very open ears, open eyes, and open mind! Try not to go on tours, as this way you are flexible to see things at your own pace and likes. Study as much as you can about your destinations, talk to as many locals as you can,,,,You will get some meaning of the world and about life before life relly gets hard! Life is like a roller coaster, sometimes you are up, sometimes down. The important thing is to be up there most of the time...Enjoy!
p.s. jason s, what a beautiful and wise answer!!!!!
