I used to Love the band Pearl Jam, but now I think that they suck. I don't know if it was because of their politics or what - are they even together anymore?

Pearl Jam is the greatest band nobody listens too. They just released their 8th album and it was great. It is self-titled and has an avocado on the cover. You should pick it up because it is great.

But because they haven't sold out (as one person says they did) they get no press. They don't like doing music videos, interviews, photo shoots, etc, etc. So they just put out records and tour. They consistently sell out their shows as quick as any band and honestly, they are the greatest live band I have ever seen. But all of this only comes from their core audience. Usually only about 1 in 20 people I've talked to know any Pearl Jam past their second album. But everyone who does listen to Pearl Jam always says they are the greatest band around.

And please don't listen to the person who sited Staind as a good band.

It's not really a big surprise. Almost every great band eventually can't maintain that greatness. I think Pearl Jam had a very unique sound, but that sound has become outdated. It makes you wonder if the same thing would have happened to Nirvana if they had had time to grow and evolve.

The only music I really am impressed by today is Staind. I also enjoy Hinder but I realize there is nothing very deep going on there.

Yeah they are still together- but they'd rather "save the world" than put out a decent album. Vedder could start saving us all by taking a bath, then getting off his high horse and write some cool songs.
