I have been saving money to buy one for my boyfriend for his birthday (in May). I don't know much about playstations (or any video games). What should I know? Any advice?

If you think he's planning on downloading (movies and games) alot get the 60 GB one (it costs 599.99), if he only plans to play games get the 20 GB one (it costs 499.99). Get your HD cable from monogram.com. Don't buy any Monster Cables from Best buy or anywhere else. Don't listen to anyone who says PS3 won't last, they are here to stay. Its not out here in the UK but u should w8 for the price to go down a bit so udont get a big loss of money..if u save £500 then w8 a few weeks or 2 months so when the console goes lower then u can buy a few more games with the console....im gonna get first idc x)

NO the PS3 is dieing alreay to the 360 and the Wii,Its kinda of a combind version to the 360 and Wii but also combind price,And there not going to have a Price drop for a LONG time becuase right now there losing 400$ a system becuase of the cost it cost them to make them,Get your BF a Wii ( $250 )or 360 ( $400 )
He will probly enjoy one of them more.

I found a tough time seeing the difference in graphics without the use of an HDTV. If he has an HDTV, then it's definately worth it. It's a pretty frivolous and pricey gift, I hope you guys have been going out for a long time!
