It is a KDS (K-72mb) brand i bought it from compusa its 17'' lcd tft monitor and it has 500:1 contrast ratio, maximum resolution 1280 x 1024, video response 8ms, 16.2 m display colors.

the video response is only 2ms (about the best you can get) 19" screen built in speakers, and good price. I got one, and I love it!! I highly recommend for watching movies, playing games, and doing graphically demanding tasks. If you are getting an LCD monitor to save space stick with the one you've got, but if you're into quality get this one.

With all due respect ... that is a question to be asked "before" you purchase something ...not "after".
That said ... it is a low end tier3 LCD unit.
Good ... yes...as opposed to neither better and far from best.
