My computer iz pretty old! I want to know iz it cheaper to buy a new computer or built a customized computer @ home. Please Help me..
Computer HD iz : 30GB
Processor Iz: AMD Athlon (m) 1.15GH & 256 MB RAM
Graphic Card: 128MB
I use to computer for music and Moviez. As you can see my computer is really sucky. Now please give me a good advice what would be wise to do?

Summary: Purchase a new computer with a very big Hard Disk Drive (HDD) 300Gb plus.
Your computer would I guess be about four or five years old.
If you want more storage space install a bigger secondary Hard Disk Drive (HDD)
If you want a faster bigger "New Age " machine you will need to purchase a new one. No upgrade for you!
If by customize you mean you are the "System Architect" well yes, if you know what your doing.
But if you did you would not be here asking the question.
For Music and Movies you don't need anything fancy by today's standards. What you do need is a new computer with the largest Hard Disk Drive (HDD) you can afford.
Or wait a month until Microsoft Vista is released and get a machine with a decent Video card and 2Gb of RAM and a very big HDD

I don'y know anything about AMD athlon processors, but if urs is a good one you can just upgrade ur hard disk & Ram...at most a 512 MB Ram & a 160GB or 240GB (depends on ur need) is enough for you; your graphic card is so good for u cause u don't use computer for playing games. and if ur processor isn't good i suggest a 2.8GHz intel or 2.4GHz intel processor which needs to change the mainboard too, u can afford the hardwares & make it at home if u really know how to install them..(u can afford a new mainboard that can have an intel processor installed so cheap)

You can purchase a Dell Refurbished PC or laptop cheaper than building your own and still get Quality and warranty is a 90 Day but Dell will extend it to what ever you need. I have been selling these type of PC and Laptops for over a year now with no complaints on EBay, Craigslist, MSN, And Yahoo. (jimbo55@hotmail.com)

Ur computer configUration is good enough, Still if u want to upgrade it Go for additional ram and additional Hard disk if u run out of Space.
Just delete/back up some of ur stuffs on Cd's.
