Bloop means to ruin or to botch. Me, I like "salsa". Everybody likes to say, "Salsa"!

A blooper is a mistake, so I would suppose the word bloop is the sound you make when you are making a mistake, as in the early cartoons, where a pratfall would be accompanied by a characteristic sound. Bloop is a good description of that sound.

However otherwords I use all the time that don't really have a meaning are:
goober
squinson
changing things to a weird 'mac' thing (eg. cat would be catty mccatcat or the variation is eg. bob is bobby mcbobbyson)
oh - and for carlos:
I use to know a guy who's nickname was 'Chunky-Funky-Chicken-Legs"

it probably derives from Blooper, as in "mistake"

I use it on my kid.
