Can you name all the jobs Homer has done?

Absolutely not, they keep coming up with such great adventures and hilarious stories. I love the Simpson's I hope they keep making them, and the DVD sets are awesome. Homer Simpson is a safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant and a generally well-meaning buffoon. In flash-back episodes he was also a pin-monkey, worked at a mini-golf course and for a short while worked at Gulp 'n' Blow Drive-through. In "Lisa's Pony," Homer, in addition to working at the power plant, also worked at the Quickie-Mart to pay for the pony's stable fee. Just to name a few.

I think The Simpsons has been around for ages, yes, but that the writers and directors still manage to come up with many great new ideas for their shows. Personally, what bugs me about The Simpsons is the way on British TV (especially Channel 4) choose to show the same episodes pretty much all the time, when there are so many to choose from! Either way, I love it when I get to see an episode I've never watched because I always know it will be funny!

Kokopelli's got the money issue covered. The upcoming movie will probably let the producers know a little more about how much life is left in the run. New writing teams will continue to breathe new life as long as they are allowed, hopefully pushing the show a little more, as I agree it is a little stagnant right now. The depth of characters and the barely touched "expanded universe" can allow for 3 out of every 4 shows to be almost Spin-offs, without having to risk airing an entirely new show. (Yeah, I'm pimping for a writing gig, Matt.)

As for Homer's jobs . . . I haven't seen every episode, but I can get ya started with, in addition to the Power Plant : farmer, QuickyMart, PlowKing, scam artist, snake-oil salesman, astronaut, marriage counselor, & internet "programmer".

I don't think that it's time for the Simpson's to end. The cartoon is one of the best written shows on television & the creator/writers & actors seem quite dedicated to keeping it "fresh".

All the jobs Homer has done? Hmmmmm, have to think on that for a bit :)

I think they probably have a year or two left. Its still a good show, but they are losing their touch a little bit. I can't name all of the jobs Homer has done, but its funny how he has been fired from the nuclear plant lots of times and yet he still works there.

I love the Simpsons. I watch the older ones more than the new ones. i think the repeats should stay on but why keep making new ones?

It will stay on as long as it continues to make money. As soon as it stops being a profitable enterprise it will vanish overnight.

It is all about the wampum, nothing but the wampum.

Bite your tongue, I hope that never ends. Continues to entertain, does'nt it? I think it should go on as long as they can think of interesting stories.
