I have no idea how it became so, and only for this particular workbook. It is active when I open other files, but in this it just wont wake up. if you can, please help me so i can proceed with my assignments. Thank you mates.

I'd guess it was some kind of save error since it only happens on that one particular sheet.
Try this: open a new workbook and copy & paste the tabs from the malfunctioning one into it.
If that doesn't work, try highlighting all the data in in the sheets and copy & paste that way.

Sounds like a virus on your machine attacking the excel application. Try this first. Try to restore back to a day when you know everything was in perfect order. Do this and I think this should take care of this issue. If this does not work, you will need to uninstall excel and you should have the original software and you need to reinstall excel. This I know will work, but it should be the last thing to try.
