It sure in the hell beats listening to the music of Ali Baba and the Camel Humps.

Wow, an answerer claims you know nothing about technology but states satellites will provide a signal to the whole world? Milk almost just came out of my nose!

Alright, my real answer to you. You will NOT get a Sirius Satellite signal in the Middle East. This is because the Sirius satellites aim their signal towards North America to make it as strong as possible there rather than letting a weak signal blanket the entire hemisphere. If you were in a plane, you'd probably lose the signal east of Greenland. That doesn't mean you're completely out of luck. The new Sirius Stiletto portable satellite radio has a feature that allows it to pick up Sirius over WiFi connections! So as long as you can get someone to activate it in the states and send it to you, and you have access to a wireless internet connection there, you can go around jamming to Sirius Satellite Radio!

Other than that, Worldspace Satellite Radio does cover the Middle East and most areas of the world except for North America and most of Australia. There's not nearly as many channels but it's probably better than Ali Baba and the Camel Humps like you say ;-) Also, some of the channels are free so you don't have to pay anything per month for them, just for the better ones!

I do not believe that they make a Sirius reciever for the middle east, I have had Sirius for going on 4 years now and it is worth every penny. HOWEVER, you can listen to Sirius via the internet. I do it all the time. You do have to have an account with them though and pay the $12.95 a month so you have to ask would it be worth trying to stream over the internet for $12.95 a month. I would check the website to see if they offer any kind of service in the middle east

well for starters i dont think you know much about technology! of course it will work it is powered by satellites. meaning pretty much no matter where you are it will probably work! b/c it is many miles above space. and if you really want to know if it will reach your exact location try going on the sirius website and find a place that you can find out the extent of the area that the sirius satellite radio covers.
