Why did India reject a PERMANENT seat in the UN Security Council ???

Will the USA ever risk their allegiance with Pakistan and back their bid? 3 permanent members - UK, Russia & France - would advocate, while china would probably abstain. VIEWS????

the prime minister believed back then in non-allignment probably thinking UN was some kind of alliance against other alliances or nations leading to our current position on the world stage

India is cool, There Representative to the UN was just stupid to say no to a permanent seat.
