First off, a star is not "burning". Burning is a chemical oxidation reaction and stars are MUCH too hot for that. Stars are natural sites of atomic fusion, which causes their heat and light output.
The surface of the Sun is about five million degrees, and there is no solid surface or liquids of any kind. Obviously, there is no life either.

A star is a ball of nuclear reactions at extremely high temperature. No life AS WE KNOW IT can exist there. However that does not mean that some form of life unknown to us or unimaginable by us doesn't or can't live on or in stars.

Well
It's good to know that Stars does not burn any thing. they just need change 4 hydrogen to one helium.
But the reason that scientists say there can not be life on (or in) stars is there can not be any water (which is sign of life) on (or in) stars.
But believe me they can change their rule if they find so (that's how science goes) and finding not only life but also any thing else is not impossible.

A star is a ball of gas with a nuclear reaction going on in its core. It's much too hot to support life as we know it.

u can think of the conditions on a star similar to as that of sun..
coz sun is also a star...
so it cannot support any lif..since the temp is too high ...
n also it cant b said a planet coz it is jus a mass of gases wid thermonuclear reactions goin in its core...
