it was an austrailian mini series and starred Hugo Weaving !! I want to know if it is available on uk dvd. the series was absolutely superb .

It came out on DVD in Australia in 2004 through Roadshow Entertainment but as far as I can make out, they only produced it for Region 4 (check if your DVD player accepts these).

I remember it was an Australian Mini-series starring Hugo Weaving ,it spanned many years and I think it ended with him leaving all his money to his grand-daughter who turns out to be a nun-very ironic as he had some kind of grudge against the Catholic church
