it doesn't only go one way. White teenboys want to be black.
I'm a white female and I'd kill to have the skin and hair of most mixed (black/white) people, lol. I think all mixed races usually have the best combinations of beauty.
Whites are predominate, so it is natural for others to try to fit the group. Same way with heavyset wanting to be thin, short wanting to be tall, etc...
Instead of trying to fit in, people need to make the others fit them!

If you read into world history (I doubt you will) you would find that before colonialism African, Asian people ect... were very proud of their looks. It is natural as globalisation occurs as Western Culture is dominant people may want to change to have a better life or to fit in.

Not all Black women bleach by a long shot, of the ones that do a good percentage just want to get rid of acne scars and the like.
Id say more White stars tan within an inch of their lives than Black women bleach. Plus thats not counting the amount of lip enhancements.
I think dominant culture does not donate as beauty.

Racist people as I suspect you are shut themselves down to the realities of life. For example go to a grocery supermarket in a busy period. Look around you at the White, Black, Cuban or Asian people and count how many are Stunning and slim (without make up) Average to good looking and the ones who are downright not attractive. If you look closely and free up your racist ideals you will see the ratio will be will be similar between facial symmetry and attractiveness across races.

To the woman who said mixed race females are the best looking out of everyone I would urge you to do the same because I think you are being racist and placing people on pedal stool when if you open your eyes and look closer you will see the same ratio again between those and other cultures.
If you think about the amount of White and Black couples who are ugly or average it isnt possible to have even a 50% chance of all mixed (or any other race for that matter) to be stunning.

1. i know of two blacks who got skin bleaching- they were both jacksons.

2. Asians are notoriously proud of their heritage. Some are getting said surgery, usually half white/half Asian children who feel that they want to fit in, or are doing it for business purposes

3. modern white people don't have a dress style

4. if that was true, then Angelina Jolie, Beyonce and Rhianna wouldn't be considered some of the most beautiful women in the world by whites.

5. Caucasian features are mongoloid. You are referring to Anglo-Saxon features.

6. You need a hug. You should be happy with who you are, and not so defensive. Just because you can't tan or have thick hair or whatever doesn't mean you aren't pretty as well. it's just that the multicultural look is in now. But beauty comes in all forms

It doesn't mean that they want to look Caucasian or anything. You mentioned Asians getting eyelid surgery. Having double eyelids is not a feature that only Caucausians have. People of African origin often have larger double eyelids than Caucasians. You mentioned people black people getting their skin bleaced...I don't know many black people who do that, honestly. And hair-straightening...hmm, I have both European and African ancestry...I have very thick curly, frizzy hair, and I do straighten it, but it doesn't mean that I don't like my hair, sometimes I just want it to be more manageable. And what do you mean about dressing like whites? Are you saying there are certain clothes that only white people can wear? Bottom line is, most non-whites are not trying to look like whites.

It's true that there are some people who hate the way they look just because the white standard of beauty is what is all over the media. Just turn on your television or look in a magazine, and see what's considered beautiful, skinny girls, straight light hair, pale skin, blue or green eyes....it's not because whites are better or more good-looking, it's just a remnant of the colonial and imperial domination of whites in history. Everywhere whites went, they brought what they considered was the ideal of beauty with them and forced it onto the populations they oppressed. It's sad that we are still seeing the remnants of that in the 21st century, but I can see that it is slowly going away, and we are making a little progress at least. There are beautiful people of all colors, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder, not in the media.

Now here is something strange! These people aren't the only ones who want change. White people are always getting tans and other people getting facelifts.Apparently some of us just aren't happy with what God gave us! Beauty is only skin deep! The real beauty lies within!

I personally think that any race that is on its own is not beautiful or handsome, the moment there is a mixture of race then the person looks stunning. so white people that are gorgeous are usually mixed with Italian , indian etc....., White people on thier own donot have sharp features , if you look at your history you will see there was a mixed race somewhere in your family tree.

It appears that lighter skin and larger, rounder eyes are anthropologically more attractive to people of all races. The thinking here is that these features are markers for youth and reproductive health. Evolutionarily, this appears to be true but may be less true today. The limbic system can't tell that things have changed, though. In particular, these features are more valued in women than men. This is probably the reason that most interracial couples involve white women rather than white men. I know this is not p.c. but the truth is the truth. Hope that helps.

Well its usually due to self hatred. I would advise you to read up on it in your history books. But I feel like my purpose on earth is to enlighten the ignorant, so here it goes.

As far as blacks goes, it was taught that black was bad and white was right. During the slave times blacks were divided because strength is relied on numbers. Many of the blacks outnumbered the whites in the south during these times. So to divided the blacks there was a mental oppression placed on them to hate each other and themselves. During these times it was beneficial to look assimilate to the dominating race (white) because your life would be better and so forth. Sadly these mental chains haven't been lifted from the minds of the black collective. Its taught to them. Many blacks have learned to embrace being black cause it does have so much to offer.
As far as the other races go, All I can say is that they try to assimilate just as well to survive economically and politically.
Idunno but check out the "Willie Lynch Letters" to get more info. It really will help, take care and god bless.

So why do whites so badly want to get tanned skin and permed hair? Why do they wear Asian kimonos? Don't be so judgemental.
