i think its based ona true story! at the begining a wife walks into the bathroom and finds her little boy drowned in the bath and then her husband is standing at the sink shaving his head! she shoots her husband! then goes into a few years later and another family move in and there haunted by the man and boys ghost>> whats it called????

it wasn't the grudge the father doesn't really haunt in that movie and he isn't shaving when after he kills the boy and she doesn't shot him she's dead and he hangs her self. I'm not sure it's amitiville either it's been a while but i don't remember that. hope you find it I haven't had luck on my question about a movie

I think it - "Grudge", and it another one is its out on cinema -Grudge 2 with Sarah Michelle Geller again, it so good film. Its only film I can think of. but didn't know its based on true story.
