Do you bite your nails? It's a habit. Do you flick your hair? It's a habit. Do you brush your teeth everyday? It's a habit. Do you undress in the opposite order of how you dressed? It's a habit. Then there's drugs. Then there's speed. Then there's adrenaline. Then there's catching a train, bus everyday for work. All these things are learnt and become habitual. A habit by it's definition is something you do without thinking about it - so of course any habit is hard to change, unless you are aware of it and want to change it. From what I've read anyone can give up any habit at all but smoking cigarettes is the hardest. How's that?

Habits are simply learned behaviour that has become unconscious. New behaviour and new habits can always be formed. Hypnotherapy, NLP and CBT are excellent ways are breaking unwanted habits and forming new ones and is not difficult at all if you REALLY want to change a habit.

Anything you practice all of the time, you WILL get very good at eventually. Good or bad. If you smoke all of the time, you soon won't be able to quit. At least think you won't. If you constantly curse, it becomes a part of you. If you practice any instrument over and over, you become quite good at it. It all comes down to;
Practice makes perfect. Good or bad practices.
