This is a poll for the worst ever car names - naturally, being a US site, they mean *american* car names, as we all realise that the US doesn't take any notice of the rest of the world.
So, what are the worst car names in the UK?
my own vote would be for the ford KA. How do you pronounce that
I have heard them called K. A., Kuh, and Cahr.
how lame is that? you go into a garage and ask for a windscreen wiper (or whatever) for a ford *Cahr* and they say "ok, but what's the model?" so you have to spell it out for them "K. A."
any other suggestions?

The Austin Maxi. Though it was quite appropriate.
The Mini was one of the most groundbreaking, stylish and successful cars of all time. Maxi, being the opposite of Mini, was the opposite of everything the Mini was.

Great question! Yes, British car manufacturers are declining now. There are still old ones like Rolls-Royce and Bentley, though. I love Aston Martin's cars and it would be shocking if every brilliant car manufacturer close down. But i don't think it will happen unless there's no petroleum for cars one day... :) All the "extinct" names you mentioned made some nice cars in the past years. What really happen to them??? And why are there so many that are taken over by foreign manufacturers? Let us pray that high quality car manufacturers will return to UK and make her proud. Long live Famous British Car Manufacturers!

Austin Princess
terrible car, terrible name, I know some people refer to a car as a 'She' but still "Just going for a drive in the princess" sounds al wrong.
American cars I'd vote for the Ford Probe.

The trouble with British car names (and by that I assume you mean the names of cars on sale in Britain) is that nowadays they have to be pan-European, so they often go for something safe and meaningless rather than risk a disater like the Nova (which means "doesn't go" in Spanish) or MR2 (not good in French).
My vote for the worst name would be the Mitsubishi Carisma - inappropriate AND misspelt.
BTW "Allegro" was a great name - Italian, and means "nippy" (more or less), does it get any better than that? It's just a shame about the car...

I know you asked for British cars, and I note that some of your respondents have ignored that requirement, my vote would have gone to the UK model names selected by Nissan (Datsun) like "Sunny" or "Cherry".
I think most model names are pretty naff and totally unnecessary,
Ford UK are pretty naff, "Fiesta" why??, "Mondeo" whatever that means, at least "Sierra" is the Arabic word for car, or near enough.
Then Vauxhall "Cavalier" seems pretty pointless, at one time I remember classifying the boring family saloons as "Mondaliers"

Perodua Kancil.
Says it all really, just cancel your street cred if you buy one.
Or for that matter any other Perodua... The Kenari, the Kembara and not forgetting the Nippa of course.
Truly dreadful.
Elvis,
The question asks for the worst car names IN the UK. For that matter Ford is a US maker last time I looked as per the askers sugestion of the KA..

How about the Trebant? That car made from pressed cardboard in East Germany? My uncle also has, and still drives a 1954 Maxi!
