For your complexion first of all find the right shade of your powder. Since you have a pale skin find a tone that is one shade warmer than your skin tone but make sure not to have it to dark than your original skin tone. Besides that, I think blush on is the perfect gadget to brightens up your face. For a more natural look you can have creamy blush-ons from bodyshops/maybelline/stila before you put on your powder. But sometimes creamy blushons can be very tricky and unclean. I suggest a warm peachy color or a dusty pink shade. Dont go for too pink or too orangie. It will not complements your face.
For your eyes I suggest a dark brown eyeliner on the outer corner of your eyes. And to bring them out is by lining your inner corner with shimmery light colors. Gold or shimmering beige is very pretty.
Lipsticks! My favorite for an everyday wear is nude lipstick. If you have a date, make sure to add a warmer tone of shiny gloss on top of it.
Hope my answer helps you. Good Luck!

From time to time I feel the same way. Recently I went to the MAC counter for suggestions for eyeshadow. The base colors that I use were exactly what the lady suggested for me! But there were other colors that I can use for blending (in the crease), and that little change made a big difference.
I would suggest that you go to any makeup counter (I prefer MAC and Lancome), take what you usually wear with you. They will assist you trying new things. It sounds like you may need a different shade of foundation and/or blush. Also, shading the eyebrows makes a big difference; it should be subtle. Good luck.

Autumn shades on your eyes dark browns light browns, Terracotta looks great, and if you have hazel eyes a green shiny eyeshadow would bring them out great, stay away from blue though
why dont you go to the bodyshop or debenhams they give free makeovers to encourage you to buy their products but at least they will put the make up on that suits you xx

sounds like greens and browns would look stunning on you but seriously go to somewhere with a make-up counter and get a free make over, or even one that you have to pay for, the person should be able to help you get on the right track as to what suits you the best and then its just a case of sorting through the make-up you have already! never be afraid to experiment with your look but always have a few staples in your kit that go with everything! i know neutrals sound boring but they can be the basis for the most dramatic and exciting looks ever! have fun!
xx

i would say more 'earth' colors.
if you look better in silver, white gold or platinum then 'cool' colors are for you.
if you look better in yellow gold then 'earth' colors are for you.
kelly green is a cool color, while hunter green is an 'earth' color.
mixing and blending makeup is always fun. are you looking for one specific color ? ('cuz that's no fun.)
